Design thinking can help us create a life that is both meaningful and fulfilling. Regardless of who or where we are, what we do or have done for a living, or how young or old we are. If you have the desire to explore your life from a new point of view, think about it proactively. Then change it creatively, there is a way to design the life you love.
The simple truth of life is you live many different lives in this lifetime. If the life you want to change is bit off, don’t worry because with design thinking you can plan many lives in your lifetime. Many people percept that if they had the right choice or a good plan for their lives their life will be something great and smooth. But in reality, life is like an abstract painting because it is open to multiple interpretations.
Embrace your multiple lives:
write three different versions of the next five years of your life. This is “Odessey planning”. Though we write many we live out one at a time. But in this way, you can provoke your creativity and generativity. It might take some time but you can do it. Mark these plans as Plan-A, B, C. DEsign every plan in such a way that you imagine living that life. After designing life the choosing life is also important, this can be done based on proximity, time and money.
The three lives you design based on,
Life 1 or Plan A: Things you already doing or extending it for coming 5 years.
Life 2 or Plan B: That thing you would do if life 1 or plan A is suddenly gong.
Life 3 or Plan C: The life you would live if money or image has no purpose
Dysfunctional belief: I need to figure out the best possible life, make a plan and execute it.
Reframe: There are multiple great lives within me, I can choose which one to build my way forward
“Design is not just what it looks like and feels like but it is how it works.” –Steve Jobs
